Summertime

As summer swiftly escapes my death grip I have on it I despise being stuck behind a desk inside in AC and yearn to be out in the summer sun and breeze enjoying all things summer! Before I know it the leaves will be turning and a fall wind will be blowing that cold northern air and the slow slide into winter will begin, misery...

Our Long Weekend

Nothing like enjoying a little "Maine Time" smack dab in the of summer. The boys are still soaking it up while Mommy and Daddy had to come home to go back to work. We had a fun 4th on the 5th... Hurricane Arthur made the weather a little unfavorable on the 4th so much like everyone else in New England we celebrated on the 5th!

Hope all will be well in our beloved Emerald Isle. Hurricane Arthur is expected to be a Category 2 Hurricane as it passes just (barely) off the coast of the North Carolina Outer Banks. I pray the house that hugged us for 7 glorious days holds strong and doesn't sustain any booboos.

 

 

 

 

Goings on...

Enjoying summer. We are officially in our 2nd week of summer vacation. Asa started day camp yesterday and is really enjoying it. He has one favorite counselor that he had last year too and I had to tear him away from her yesterday when I picked him up :) Gracyn has wanted to stay the past two days as well, but he can't go until next year - you have to be 3 and potty trained!

We've already made a couple trips to Maine and will spend the 4th weekend there. It will be a full house! Asa also spent last week with Grammy there and both boys get to spend next week!

I also had my 20 year High School Reunion this past weekend - shout out to the Class of 1994! It was nice to reconnect with those I haven't seen in a long time and even those I see every once in a blue moon!

Hot and Humid and I'm loving it... Pool is set up and evening dips are on the agenda.

Birthdays and warmer weather!

7 years ago yesterday I went into labor at 2:00 a.m. I was in labor for 24 hours and on this date at 3:00 a.m. a precious little boy was born. His name - Asa, his purpose, to change the world. Well he has certainly changed mine and everyone who knows him. He is a Superhero, he's my love, he's the smile on my face :) Happy Birthday to the King of My World because he calls me his Princess :) :)

 

We had a Superhero Birthday Party on Sunday. Every single one of his classmates came! There was a cape for everyone... Of course I got no pics of the actually party...
