Pneumonia Update

Asa is feeling so much better! We have been on Septra and Cipro simultaneously to kick it. They are wreaking havoc on his belly but he's not complaining of a belly ache. We are on our 6th day and I think his bowels are evening out :) Thank you to everyone for your prayers and well wishes, now we just need to keep Gracyn, Daddy and Mommy healthy! Let's hope this is it going into the cold and flu season!

Update

Life has been a little out of control lately Asa has missed two weeks of school, been on 4 different antibiotics now and still hasn't kicked pneumonia! We are hoping the most recent mix of bug fighters works and we won't have to be admitted into the hospital and hooked up to an IV for 10-14 days!

Gracyn's 1st haircut!

Cardboard Box Fun last Wednesday, Asa's 1st week with pneumonia and Gracyn woke up with pink eye!

Our Labor Day Weekend

We spent the last hoorah of summer in Maine which will probably be our last trip for the season because every weekend in September is booked. Birthdays, Weddings, Football Games and Buddy Walk!

We did not make it to the beach on Saturday. We hung around and relaxed. I didn't feel well, Asa now has the cough that Gracyn started with over a month ago and still has, I have the last remnants, but was super congested all weekend and Brian started with it about 2 weeks ago. So we chilled, had naps and played, nothing wrong with that.

But the only reason for Ace to ride 2.5 hours in the car is to go to the "Beeshh, please Mama can we go to the beeshh? Are we at the Beeshh yet? Where's the Beeshh?" We went Sunday, the weather was 85% worse then it was Saturday (Saturday was beautiful), but we were at the "Beeshh". At least we didn't have to load on the sunscreen and lug the umbrella! I was comfortable... And Ace didn't care he was at the "Beeshh".

He made it...

Can't beat the smile on that face :)

The sky looked a little scary, but it never rained...

Still eating sand, hopefully next summer he'll be beyond this....

Check out Asa's expression. Gracyn was knocking down his tower - LOL

Getting cold, time to leave...

And for my Southern Friend, told you so :) You can see the hillsides starting to change color. It's like a slight sepia tone adjustment... though the yellows get more yellow. Every week  they will get more vibrant, right now it's a slight change, the green is duller. These red guys were on the lawn in Maine.

About Me

My photo
My name is Jackie and I am a mother, wife, friend, sister, daughter, cousin to many, and a dreamer of sorts. I dream of many things and one is a life full of acceptance, achievement and success for my Super Hero son Asa. He's got extra good stuff that comes with a little thing called Down syndrome. We live in the beautiful state of New Hampshire with our 2 Bulldogs; Rosie, Frankie and 36 chickens.
