Snow, NOOOOO!

Spring has been a trader in my book. She started out so beautifully with 70 degrees, sunshine, trees blooming, flowers poking their little heads out of the barren soil, lush green starting to take over everywhere and yesterday ended as a cool evening preceded with some late afternoon showers, but giving way to this at sunset.
By the time I let the dogs out before bed I could see my breath in the fresh night air. I heard the heat kick on a couple times through out the night, it hadn't done this in a few weeks. Then this morning we awoke to this!
Asa kept pointing to the slider door saying "Whudz dat"? I said "Snow Honey" and he let out a giggle. The kid loves snow, but if he realized it was 2 days before May 1st he might change his mind.

Bonus Pic - Asa on his new playset... Thank you for helping putting it together Grammy and Grampy!

Per Requests

So, I've had some requests for interior pics of the house. My first ever post shows a pic of the inside "during" demo. After taking these the other day (moving clutter, clothes, coats, mail piled up from one room to another then back again :) I must say we've busted our asses going from what this place was, to what it is now. I was discouraged over the outside this weekend. It is just a mess, there is pine limbs EVERYWHERE and dirt piled up EVERYWHERE. I just want to plant my trees and shrubs and watch them grow. I leave the grass up to Brian, cause for some reason the man can grow some good grass... But it is just so sad that there is only one patch of green anywhere and it happens to be over the septic system, don't get me wrong it is a nice flat spot to play, but it is the ONLY spot. You know what they always say? The grass is always greener over the Septic Tank :)

So after much ado, here is Chateau De Henry:

(I'm having the hardest time getting my images to not be blurry, but who has time to figure it out - not me!)

Okay so this one's not blurry - go figure!

House Complete

It's appropriate timing to post the finished house pics now that we have our final certificate of occupancy. What this means is that we can now modify our construction loan (8.5 interest) into a 30 year mortgage (4.5 interest) - it can't happen fast enough! We still need to build the side and back deck - which will be all one, but it's nice to start coming out of the construction mode.

And Mr. Cheesy Boy - the poor kid's been having some bad hair days lately...

Changes

There have been some changes around our place - both for the better. We are making head way on our deforestation :-)

SUNSHINE! Glorious sunshine!

Asa and Daddy are having fun with toys! Ace was running the bucket!

And we have Graduated.. Thank you Derrick for our Big Boy Racecar Bed!

Pardon the bed head - just woke up from 2.5 hour nap. Sunscreen in the hair never makes it look very good either.
