1st Day of School

Today is Asa's 1st Day of School for his 2nd Year of Kindergarten. I tell you, my anxiety was completely minimal for this day because I knew he would be doing his same routine as last year. The only exception is that he is now being picked up rather then dropped off. This saves so much on morning stress! I actually got to eat and drink a cup of coffee before I left the house rather then having to do it in the car :) Asa has been asking to go to School for the past week and a half and today his wish finally came true! I hope you have a wonderful day Bubbies and you make lots of new friends and get to see some old ones too...

Summer Lovin'

Last week the boys and I spent in Maine with Grammy and cousins Derrick and Ashleigh. We beached it everyday except the cloudy rainy one on Tuesday. It was nice to sit, read and catch some sun. We parked ourselves most days beside the lazy puddle the tide left behind.

On Tuesday we kept ourselves busy by tie dying! I tie died our Buddy Walk T-Shirts

Thanks Grammy for a fun week!

School Starts next Thursday and it's sad that summer is winding down. We'll hopefully enjoy at least one more trip to Maine and then we'll hunker down for Saturday Soccer and Football Games.

Look who it is!

It's Asa on the front of this year's NNEDSC Buddy Walk Brochure!

The pic is from 2009 but look at that face, I remember it was a cool day but the sun was HOT and we didn't put any sunscreen on. Oops, that's why we have the red cheeks... It was a pleasant surprise getting this in the mail yesterday :) :)

It's August!

You know it's August in our little section of the world when it's Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl Game time :) The best Football Players of High School Graduating Seniors from Vermont and New Hampshire are selected to face off in a State on State Game in August. This year is the 60th Anniversary of the rivalry and 50 of the 60 games have been played at the Dartmouth College Football Stadium. The Shriner's Hospital in Montreal and Springfield, MA as well as the Boston Burns Institute receive all proceeds. We didn't make it to the game but we did go to the parade!

New Hampshire Team

The Score of the game ended up being 43-0 and by the pics you can probably guess who won and if you guessed New Hampshire you're correct! I'm a torn fan because I grew up in Vermont and now live in New Hampshire.

The clowns in little cars were coming. I didn't get any pics of the clowns...

After we bought some Dartmouth gear and we got pizza!

About Me

My photo
My name is Jackie and I am a mother, wife, friend, sister, daughter, cousin to many, and a dreamer of sorts. I dream of many things and one is a life full of acceptance, achievement and success for my Super Hero son Asa. He's got extra good stuff that comes with a little thing called Down syndrome. We live in the beautiful state of New Hampshire with our 2 Bulldogs; Rosie, Frankie and 36 chickens.
